Will Huggett is a Project Manager in our Offset Origination team. Over the last 10 years, Will has coordinated and managed a diverse portfolio of environmental projects relating to water and wastewater management, biogas/biomass energy, bulk haul logistics, environmental management systems, district energy, Smart Grid/AMI and Vehicle-to-Grid.

Prior to joining Offsetters, Will co-founded a manufacturing company delivering hybrid remote power and battery monitoring systems for off-grid industrial applications. As logistics and environmental coordinator for Metro Vancouver’s solid waste partner, Will managed the long and short-haul logistics of municipal solid waste, led the implementation and ISO 14001 registration of an environmental management system for landfill and transfer station operations, and developed the business case and publication for “Landfill Gas Utilization Beyond Power Generation” (SWANA, 2005). Will also has extensive Public-Private Partnership experience for municipal infrastructure procurement, and has worked on other environmental initiatives with organizations like Google.org, 1-800-GOT-JUNK?, Wal-Mart, Cisco, U.S. Green Building Council and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.

Will is a graduate of the University of Victoria with a double major in Economics and Environmental Studies. He also has a post-graduate Certificate in Project Management and is a Project Management Professional (PMP).
